All tickets must be pre-booked. Pricing:

• Day Ticket (9 AM - 5 PM or 12 Mid Day - 8 PM): £15 per angler, £5 per non-fishing guest
• 24 Hours (9 AM - 9 AM): £25 per angler, £10 per non-fishing guest
• 48 Hours: £40 per angler, £20 per non-fishing guest
• Each additional 24 hours: £20 per angler

Wigbeth Fishery is a hidden gem with great potential. Spanning approximately 10 acres, the lake boasts a healthy population of common and mirror carp. About 25 years ago, it was leased by Wimborne Angling Club, during which time carp over 30lb were reportedly caught. Though the club removed some larger carp when their lease ended, it’s unlikely they removed them all. Since then, the lake has been privately owned with minimal fishing activity in recent years.

The last reported catch of a 30lb+ fish was in 2021, though no photo confirmation exists. Having worked around the lake for several months, I’ve observed many fish, mostly in the mid-double range (10-19lb), with some estimated in the low to mid-twenties. Local day anglers using light tackle and feeder/method techniques regularly report catching 30+ fish per day in warmer months, averaging mid to low doubles.

The lake was largely unfishable for years due to weed issues, but we’re actively clearing it and opening areas as they become available. It’ll be exciting to see what’s landed here as fishing resumes. I look forward to welcoming you to Wigbeth Fishery soon!

Fishery Rules

• Barbless hooks only
• No plastic hook baits
• No boats or inflatables
• No swimming
• Bait boats allowed, but only if used sensibly
• Bivvies only - no tents
• No fixed rigs; safety rigs only. The fishery manager may inspect rigs at any time
• Do not use lead-dropping systems (dropping lead on the take)
• All anglers must have a carp medical kit; administer treatment after hook removal and for any sores. For serious wounds, retain the fish and call the manager immediately for treatment before release
• Home-prepared particles must be shown to the fishery manager before use
• No nuts of any kind
• No portable generators
• No fires
• Dogs welcome but must remain on a lead; clean up all mess
• No rods to be left unsupervised at any time
• No climbing trees
• No cutting of any vegetation
• No rubbish (including tea bags and cigarette butts) to be left in swims during or after your session
• Cigarette butts must be placed in an ashtray, tin, or rubbish bag
• BBQs allowed only if using provided slabs as a base/stand to protect the ground
• No loud music
• Use mobile phones considerately around other anglers
• Environment Agency rod license required
• No removal of any fish species; all fish must be returned
• Each angler must have their own suitable-sized fish mat/cradle and landing net (minimum 32"); no sharing equipment
• 2 rods per angler maximum
• Fish may be held in a retaining sling for no longer than 15 minutes while setting up a camera
• Fish must remain over the cradle/mat at all times; never stand or carry fish - return using cradle/mat or sling
• No sacking
• Single hook lengths only
• Use sensible lighting at night
• Respect all wildlife
• All rods to be reeled in by 8:30 AM on your departure morning; exit site by 9 AM
• We have the right to (and do) inspect all vehicles before they leave the site

Any angler or non-fishing guest not following these rules will be asked to leave without a refund. Report any accidents on-site to the fishery manager immediately.
